Coco coir is a versatile and popular substrate for mushroom cultivation, ideal for use in monotub style grow beds and as a casing layer to support robust fruiting initiation.
 
Key Features:
 
  • Excellent Water Retention: Coco coir has outstanding water-holding capacity while remaining light and fluffy, providing an optimal environment for mushroom growth.
  • Versatile Mixing: It can be combined with vermiculite and a nutrient additive like bran or soy hulls to create a complete substrate.
  • Easy Preparation: Simply add 4 liters of water to the coco brick and wait for it to expand. For effective pasteurization, place the coco coir in a chilly bin with boiling water overnight to reduce contamination risks in your mushroom cultivation.
