Inoculated Plugs (Dowels) for Growing Mushroom on Logs in the Garden 
 
Mushroom dowel packs (NZ-Native & commercial cultures) are inoculated with a mushroom culture of your choice - wax is included for sealing along with detailed instructions.
 
40 mushroom dowels will do about two logs roughly 1m long x 125mm diameter - If you have excess dowels, add more dowels into a log and it will colonize and produce mushrooms faster.
 
Mushroom dowels are 8mm wide & made from locally sourced beech wood. Select from our extensive range of fully colonized dowel spawn using in-house cultures:
 
Shiitake - Lentinula Edodes
Grey Oyster - Pleurotus Pulmonarius
Pink Oyster - Pleurotus Djamor
Velvet Oyster/ NZ-Native Oyster - Pleurotus Parsonsiae
Enoki - Flammulina Velutipes
Tawaka/Poplar Mushroom, NZ Native- Agrocybe Parasitica 
Turkey Tail - Trametes Versicolor
Coral Tooth/ NZ Native Pekepeke-Kiore (LioNZ Mane) - Hericium Novae Zelandiae
 
***Logs not included -- you will need to source your own logs; often calling local arborists or garden groups can be a good way to find some.
