Ultrasonic mist makers for increasing humidity in mushroom growing environments. 2 head, 4 head and 10 head sizes for small to large growing spaces.
These units produce the highest quality mist for mushroom growing -- droplets are in the 1-10 micron size. This ultra fine mist gives a dry mist that is easily dispersed into the air.
I have tested many different humidification systems and these are by far the easiest to setup, most cost-efficient and help produce the highest quality mushrooms. Mist quality is often overlooked but is extremely important when you seek to grow the finest quality mushrooms and maximise yield.
2 Head - Perfect for the small grow tent size. Produces 0.6L/HR - 50w
4 Head - Perfect for the medium to large grow tent. Produces 2L/HR - 65w
10 Head - Perfect for large grow rooms such as a 10-20ft shipping container, I personally use to use 2 of these to run a 6m x 6m room. With high fresh air flow in dry Canterbury summers, they easily keep the room at 85-90% humidity no problem. Produces 7/HR - 300-350w
All units have a built in water-level sensor and will switch off if water level is too low. I use a simple ball float valve to set water-level just above the sensor (as pictured) -- if unit is too deep in water it will not produce mist. Alternatively we have floats available for the 10 and 4 head sizes.
Units come with splash-proof power supply that plugs directly into a wall or humidity controller. (We recommend pairing this with an Ink bird IHC-200 humidity controller for complete control).
The fogger head can be quickly detached from the power supply for cleaning. Units should be cleaned weekly to fortnightly -- or whenever bacteria/ algae begins to grow in the water. Overlooking cleaning will shorten the life of the ceramic discs. Setting the unit up in a black tub -- minimising light getting to the water -- will reduce unwanted growth.
The ultrasonic heads (white discs) are replaceable and usually need to be replaced every year or so.
Working life of the misting head is 5000 hours - units should not be left running 24/7 - as they can overheat the water in a smaller reservoir and cause damage to the unit.
Floats are only avaliable for 10 head and 4 head units. The floats allow you to run the unit in deep water and the unit will float at a good operating depth. Unit will auto switch off when water level becomes too low.
The units do send waterdropplets into the air, so a water reservoir will not be able to be filled to the top without water splashing over the sides.
